Keeping our tours COVID-Safe
Please be aware of COVID-19 restrictions before booking and follow state government guidelines. We are doing everything we can to ensure your tour is enjoyable and COVID safe.
If you are in Victoria, all tour operators, including Dancing Kangaroo Tours, will require persons 16 and over to be fully vaccinated. You will be asked to present a COVID-19 digital certificate or medical exemption. Failure to follow the relevant state government COVID-19 advice will result in not being able to participate in the tour.

Q. What happens if I book now and restrictions change or lockdown is extended?
A. You can reschedule your experience for a $40 fee per person
Q. Will staff and other customers be vaccinated?

Q. Does the operator have minimum numbers due to COVID?
A. Operators must adhere to capacity restrictions in line with state government guidelines. After booking your experience, please feel free to check capacity restrictions with the operator.

Responsibility
The participant understands that during the course of the tour certain events may occur, including, but not limited to:
- accident/illness
- forces of nature
The participant agrees to assume all risks associated with the tour to the maximum extent permitted by law. Any medical and evacuation expenses incurred due to injury or illness will be the responsibility of the participant. Dancing Kangaroo Tours reserves the right to refuse a participant entry onto a tour due to medical or fitness grounds.
The participant warrants to having a fitness and health level to cope with reasonable consumption of wines, beers & ciders, gin, cheeses, yummy food, and fun!
The participant acknowledges that travel on a Dancing Kangaroo Tours tour requires a degree of flexibility, and understands that the tour’s route and modes of transport are subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances.
Should Dancing Kangaroo Tours deem it advisable to amend an itinerary for any reason, it may do so by shortening, varying or re-routing any tour. These changes are binding and additional expenses will be charged to the participant if the reason for any major alteration is outside Dancing Kangaroo Tours’s control.
It is beyond your control as to which wines the winery offers for tastings on any particular day and the wines listed in our itineraries are an example only.
While travelling with Dancing Kangaroo Tours’ tours the participant agrees to accept the authority of Dancing Kangaroo Tours’s leader or Dancing Kangaroo Tours’s tourist guide at all times. The participant is aware that travel within a group may involve compromise to accommodate the diverse desires and physical abilities of group members. The participant understands that Dancing Kangaroo Tours reserves the right to decline, accept, or retain any person as a member of the group at any time.
The participant acknowledges that Dancing Kangaroo Tours works directly with a network of wineries, government agencies and individuals who provide assistance throughout the regions in which the tours are conducted. To the best of Dancing Kangaroo Tours’s knowledge, these third parties are qualified to provide such assistance. However, Dancing Kangaroo Tours will not accept responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur due to the conduct of these third parties nor will Dancing Kangaroo Tours accept responsibility or liability for any participant who contravenes any law or regulation.
Cancellations
Public/open group tours
Should a participant cancel a Public-tour booking for any reason whatsoever the following fees apply:
- Cancellation before 3 business days of the tour date is eligible for a full refund less a 2% bank fee.
- Cancellation within 3 business days of the tour date will incur a 50% forfeit of the tour price.
- Cancellation less than 1 business day of the tour date will incur a 100% forfeit of the tour price.
- If the request for reschedule is made within 24 hours of the tour date a rescheduling fee of $40 per person applies.
- If the request for reschedule is made within 48 hours of the tour date a rescheduling fee of $20 per person applies.
- All other reschedule request made more than 48 hours of the tour date is free of charge.
Private group tours
Should a group-leader cancel a Private-tour booking the following conditions apply:
- Cancellation before 1 week of the tour date is eligible for a full refund less $50 fee.
- Cancellation within 1 week of the tour date will be refund in full less the deposit amount i.e. $300.
- We will charge any non-refundable prepaid fees (e.g. booking fees for certain venues) to your invoice and pay you the difference.
- Any non-attendance on the day of the tour is non-refundable.
- No refunds will be made for any transport, sightseeing, meals or services not utilised.
Transfers
Bookings are transferrable. If you wish to transfer the booking to another person you must notify Dancing Kangaroo Tours by email.
Cancellation by Dancing Kangaroo Tours
Dancing Kangaroo Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour, including a guaranteed tour, prior to departure due to reasons outside its control. In such case, Dancing Kangaroo Tours may postpone the tour, provide you with an alternative itinerary or refund the tour.
Dancing Kangaroo Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour if too few people have booked for that departure. In this instance you will be offered an alternative date or tour and if this is unacceptable Dancing Kangaroo Tours will offer a full refund.
Insurance
Participants are encouraged to have travel insurance for every active tour taken with Dancing Kangaroo Tours. This is strongly encouraged for overseas visitors who may not have access to the Australian health care system. The participant’s travel insurance should provide cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability.
Age Policy
Due to the nature of the tours, all participants must be over 18 years of age at the date of tour – unless it’s a private tour where the minor is accompanied by an adult/parent. It is illegal for participants under the age of 18 to consume alcohol on Dancing Kangaroo Tours’ tours.
