About Dancing Kangaroo Tours
Since 2015, we’ve been sharing the Victoria we love. Best known for our Yarra Valley wine tours, we’re a small local team creating memorable journeys filled with great places, great people and plenty of good times.

We collect your group and take you straight to where you are going. Airport, cruise terminal, hotel, restaurant, venue. One way or return, and the vehicle leaves once you are there.

What shapes a bus hire quote
Standard transfers have a set price. Charters are quoted, because two jobs with the same passenger count can be very different days. These are the things we look at.

Bus hire questions we get asked
Can I hire the vehicle and driver for my own itinerary?
Yes, that is charter and driver hire, and it is a large part of what we do. You send the stops and the timings, we bring the vehicle and the driver and follow your run sheet. If your plan changes on the day, talk to the driver.
Do you offer one way and return transfers?
Both. A return is quoted as two journeys, so tell us the return time and pickup point even if it is the same address. Nothing about the return is assumed from the outbound trip.
Can the driver stay with us throughout the day?
That is the charter option. The vehicle and driver stay with your group between stops rather than dropping you and leaving.
Is there a minimum hire time?
Minimum hire depends on the vehicle, the day and the distance. Ask us with your times and we will tell you plainly whether it works.
Which vehicle do I need?
You do not need to know. Give us passenger numbers and a rough bag count and we recommend a category. If you have a preference, pick it in the quote builder and we will price that.
How much does it cost to hire a bus with a driver in Melbourne?
It depends on the vehicle, how long you need it, where you are going and when. Standard transfers have a set price and charters are quoted. Use the quote builder above and you will see one fixed price before anything is confirmed.
Can you handle our luggage?
Usually, but luggage is the most common reason a group ends up in the wrong vehicle. Count large bags honestly, including golf bags, prams, instruments and sporting gear, and we will size the vehicle for it.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes. We have child and booster seats, available on request for an extra $50 per seat.
Can we make multiple stops?
Yes. Add them in the quote builder, or paste your itinerary. Extra stops change the shape of the day, so they affect the quote rather than being added on afterwards.
Do you do wedding transport?

Do you do minibus hire for winery days?
Yes, every week. We drive groups to the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Bellarine and Macedon Ranges. Send us your own winery plan and we will follow it, or let us plan the whole day for you as a private tour.
Can you handle corporate and conference groups?
Yes, including repeat movements across several days, multiple vehicles running to one schedule, and delegate shuttles between venues. Tell us the run sheet and we will quote the whole programme.
Do you travel outside Melbourne?
Yes. Wine regions, the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island, regional Victoria and interstate work on request. Distance is one of the things that shapes a charter quote.
Are parking and tolls included?
Tolls are always included in our quotes. We use toll roads so the drive is smooth and comfortable for your group. Parking and venue access fees are included where we know about them in advance, and anything unusual is called out in your quote rather than appearing later.
